Who we are

Sell Theory is operated by Andrew Marshall, who is the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: marshalldrew351@gmail.com.

What we collect and why

  • Account data (email address, login credentials) — to create your account and give you access to the course. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
  • Purchase data (order reference, purchase status) — to confirm your access. Payment card details are collected and processed by Paddle, not by us.
  • Course progress (lessons completed, quiz scores) — stored in your browser and, where you have an account, against your account so your progress is saved. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
  • Support messages — to answer your questions. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
  • Technical data (IP address, device and browser information, error logs) — for security, fraud prevention and fixing faults. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

Who we share it with

  • Paddle — our reseller and Merchant of Record, for the sale of the course, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers — to run the site, store account data and serve the course.
  • Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary, and authorities where required by law.

We do not sell your personal data.

Retention

We keep account and purchase data for as long as your account is active and for as long as needed for legal, tax and accounting obligations. After that it is deleted or anonymised. Support messages are kept for up to 24 months.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country. Where data leaves the UK or EEA we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. You may also complain to your data protection authority. Email marshalldrew351@gmail.com and we will respond within one month.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls on account data.

Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, run the checkout, and remember your lesson progress. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear this data in your browser settings, though doing so will reset locally stored progress.
